This North Mayo U16 B Championship was nip and tuck throughout with the sides level at the break 2-2 to 1-5. Ethan Reilly and Paul Granaghan scored the Deel-Siders goals and Evan Golden raised the green flag for the Stephenites. Ethan Reilly also tacked on two points as did the hosts Craig Ferguson and Conor Casey. After the break with Ballina playing into a stiffish breeze, Evan Golden knocked over two points and Paul Granahan and Dylan Lavelle scored points each. For the Crossmolina boys with only five minutes remaining Leiv Humbard stole inside the Crossmolina rearguard and planted the ball in the net to give his side a goal advantage. The Deel-Siders could only manage a point from Paul Granahan in added time to leave the Stephenites deserving winners. The final score was Ballina 2-7, Crossmolina 2-5.
