Ardagh Christmas party which takes place next Sunday, December 7, is completely sold out. The celebration will begin with Mass at 1pm in the Church, followed by a sit-down hot meal and music with spot prizes in the community centre. The price is €25 per person. Festive Walk/Run

Festive family fun walk/run will take place in nearby Crossmolina on Saturday week, December 13, starting at 12 noon from the football pitch. There is a shorter family 2.5k loop and a longer 4k loop. Participants are invited to dress up in their best festive gear, Santa hats, elf outfits, etc. Prizes for the best dressed children and adults on the day. Adults must accompany children. Refreshments served afterwards. The fundraising event is being promoted by MacHale Rovers LGFA.

Variety Show

A Christmas variety show in aid of MacHale Rovers ladies football team will take place in Ardagh Community Centre on Sunday week, December 14. A wide range of participating groups will showcase their individual talents when taking to the stage at 7pm. A show not to be missed.

Remembrance Service

Special words of gratitude to everyone who was involved in the beautiful Remembrance Service held for the deceased of the parish and which took place last week in Ardagh church. Also special thanks to everyone who organised refreshments afterwards in the community centre. Community activism at its very best.

Draw date

Ardagh GAA Club will hold its next lotto draw on Sunday, December 28, during the club's annual party night in Mickey O'Boyle's. The jackpot now stands at €5,900 and tickets are currently on sale. Full details are on the club website www.ardaghgaaclub.com where the online link is supplied.

Christmas Experience

On Saturday, December 6, Ballycastle gets into the festive spirit with the annual Ballycastle Christmas Experience organised by Ballycastle Events Organisation. This celebration of the spirit of Christmas will be held in the stunning setting of the Dome (at the back of Healys) from 6 - 8pm. The very best of the festive season that all the family can enjoy. This event is free. Any donation to the donation box would be appreciated.

Sympathy

Sympathy is extended to the family, relatives and friends of Martin Burke, late of Carrowcur and his wife Mary, late of Athlone who died recently in London. May they rest in peace.

A Christmas Monster Bingo will take place in Ballycastle Community Hall on Monday, December 15, at 8pm with a guaranteed jackpot of €1,000 and lots of other prizes.

The numbers drawn in the Bonniconlon lotto which was held on Saturday, November 23 for a jackpot of €11,300, were 3, 15, 23, 26.
