The death has taken place in his beloved Cloghans of Alan Jackson, Clearwater, Cloghans and late of Preston, Lancashire, UK. Alan was pre-deceased by his beloved wife Anna and is survived by his only daughter Gillian, extended family and a large number of his fishing friends.
Alan’s remains reposed at McGowan s Funeral Home on Thursday evening, January 8, and his funeral arrived to St Teresa's Church, Rathduff on Friday morning for his 11am Requiem Mass. He was laid to rest afterwards in Cloghans Cemetery. Alan will be remembered as a beloved father, neighbour and a gentleman who had many fishing friends in Cloghans and further afield. He loved his boats and fishing and loved to chat and share his knowledge of same.
Deepest sympathy is extended to his daughter Gillian, extended family and to many of his close fishing friends. May he now rest in peace.
A special thank you to all who continue to pass in their used stamps. They are valuable for the Medical Missionaries of Mary Missionary work in Africa. They can be left in the porch in Knockmore Church.

The walkway, which skirts the periphery of both pitches, is located in a very safe and secure environment. Walkway membership is available to non-members for the very affordable price of €20 per year. Funds raised go towards maintaining the walkway, insurance and lighting which is hoped to be installed in the near future.
