The Islandeady Walks Group Walk met on Monday, July 21, at 7pm and walked the Kilfea loop, approx. 4.5km in total with multiple hills, which proved no problem for these experienced walkers. All enjoyed the magnificent views over Islandeady and beyond on a clear dry evening. The group were delighted to add this slightly more difficult walk to their ever-growing list of beautiful walks around Islandeady. These walks are gaining popularity all the time, with new members joining from week to week, finding it a great way to exercise out in the fresh air with absolutely no commitment involved, just come along, bring family or friends and enjoy the beautiful scenery amid some great company and even a cuppa afterwards. On Monday, July 28, the group walked the Cornanool loop, starting at the Key West at 7pm and walked through the ‘old village’ then returning to Key West for a catch up over a cuppa. It was approx. 3km of flat terrain. The group would love to see you next week and please spread the word outside Islandeady, that anyone is welcome to join on any of these walks.
