Ballinrobe Musical Society has been honoured with two AIMS nominations for their 2025 production of
.The society was nominated for Best Chorus, while Sarah Corcoran, who played Esmerelda, was nominated for Best Female Singer - both in the Gilbert section.
The winners of each award will be announced at the annual AIMS awards ceremony at the INEC in Killarney, on Saturday, June 14.

Two counsellors are available for young people, aged 16-25, who are struggling with relationships, anxiety, worries, or who just simply want someone to listen to them. Meals on Wheels are hot meals delivered to individuals at home (either on a temporary or long-term basis). Meals on Wheels can make your life easier. This service covers Ballinrobe and the Lake District area.

Margot O’Shea was the winner of €65 in last week’s 50/50 draw conducted by the Tacú Family Research Centre, Ballinrobe.
First Aid training for parents of babies and toddlers will take place in the Maple Youth Centre, Bowgate Street, Ballinrobe, on Wednesday, June 18, at 10.30am. The first day of this first aid course will cover CPR and choking.

Hollymount Ladies Gaelic Football Association is delighted to announce that a special event will take place to celebrate its 40th anniversary on October 4, 2025. This is a major milestone for the club and a dedicated email address has been set up for those who would like to share photos, videos, stories, team information etc.

Ballinrobe Rugby Club is pleased to announce that the club has set up two Re-turn bins at The Green, and they will remain there for the next few months.
As part of the club’s commitment to sustainability, the club is asking everyone to please drop your empty plastic bottles/cans into these bins. All proceeds from returned plastic bottles/cans will go directly to the club’s youth section, supporting the development of the club’s future players.

A six-week Summer Tag Rugby tournament will commence at Ballinrobe Rugby Club on Thursday, June 26. The cost to take part is €360 per team and is for squads of 12 with a maximum of 15 players. The tournament will take place every Thursday evening at The Green.
Tag Rugby is a fun and fast-moving non-contact variation of the game, suitable for all ability and experience levels. Teams are made up of seven players (4 males and 3 females) with squads of up to 15 players. Tag Rugby is ideal for people looking for a fun social way to keep fit and play rugby throughout the summer.
