Drummer Graham Hopkins is coming to Westport for a 'drum hang' event.
Legendary Irish drummer Graham Hopkins is coming to Westport next week for an intimate ‘drum hang’ event.
Hopkins, who played with Glen Hansard, The Frames, Snow Patrol, Tom Jones, Therapy? and Dolores O’Riordan, will be at the Clew Bay Hotel on Wednesday, April 2. He has also played on numerous albums by both Irish and international artists throughout his three-decades long career.
It is a unique chance to get up close and personal with Graham as he shares stories, tips and tricks from his incredible career along with some of the biggest names at the forefront of the Irish music industry.
Whether you are a seasoned drummer or just a fan of great music, this is an event not to be missed, so mark your calendars and get ready to hang out with a true drumming icon.
Those of you who’ve been along to previous Graham Hopkins drum hangs will know that this is not your regular drum clinic, but an evening of informal chat about all things drumming including gear, gigging, recording with a bit of playing thrown in the mix.
Audience participation is encouraged and all questions are very welcome, adding to the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the 'hang'.
