Support for Social Democrats and Fine Gael increases in latest poll

Support for the Social Democrats and Fine Gael has increased in the latest Sunday Independent and Ireland Thinks opinion poll.
The Social Democrats are up three points to a record 12 per cent following their Dublin Central by-election victory, while Fine Gael has gained two points and now stands on 19 per cent.
Sinn Féin remains the country's most popular party on 20 per cent despite losing two points, with Fianna Fáil down one point to 16 per cent.
Independent Ireland is on nine per cent, with Aontú on six per cent
Labour and the Green Party are on three per cent, with People Before Profit on two.
Independent and others are on 10 per cent
The poll also shows housing remains the biggest concern for voters, while concern about immigration has risen sharply ahead of the introduction of the EU Migration and Asylum Pact next week.
When people were asked which ministers have performed the best under this Government, Jim I'Callaghan was highest ranked in 22 per cent, followed by Jennifer Carroll MacNeill on 11 per cent.
