Bridie Peoples (nee Joyce), Barnfield, Knockmore and late of Urlingford, Co Kilkenny, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 21, following a short illness. Bridie's unexpected illness and passing has left her beloved John, her husband of 46 years, her daughters Eimer and Aine, family, neighbours and friends deeply saddened.
Her remains were removed to St Teresa's Church, Rathduff, for her 12 noon Requiem Mass on the following Saturday. There during the homily she was remembered as a kind, charitable and generous person, a great neighbour and friend, a kind and caring nurse who touched many people’s lives in many ways. She enjoyed travelling together with her husband John and was also a regular on the golf course. Her sudden illness and passing has left a void in her family home, neighbourhood and community that never can be filled. She was laid to rest afterwards in Ballinahaglish Cemetery.
Bridie was pre-deceased by her parents, her brothers Pat and Fr Jer, and she is survived by her husband John, devoted daughters Eimer and Aine, sisters Mary, Kathleen and Anna, and brother Tom, nephews and nieces, cousins, neighbours and friends to whom deepest sympathy is extended. May she now rest in peace.
A 5k fun run will take place in the parish on St Stephen's Day, in aid of Knockmore Parochial House Restoration Fund and Mayo Roscommon Hospice. A couch to 5k 5 week training is in place to prepare for same.

Deepest sympathy is extended to Michael Doherty and extended family on the recent passing of his brother Patrick (Patsy) Doherty, Foxford; to Eamon Herron, Calladashin, on the recent sad passing of his nephew Anthony Herron, Birmingham; to the family of the late Frank Keane, Castletown, Castleconnor. Frank was son of the late Freddie Keane, formerly of Brackwansha, Knockmore and Catherine (Baby) Gillespie, Carragorru, Knockmore. May they all rest in peace.
The late Paddy Crean whose Requiem Mass was celebrated on Sunday, November 2, in St Teresa’s Church, Rathduff, was remembered fondly during the Mass as a beloved husband, father and grandfather, who was known and highly regarded in his community. Paddy was highly thought of also as a driver with the former Ballina Mineral Waters Company. On his retirement he regularly helped out at various activities in the community. Family always came first though for Paddy, the care for his wife Mary and family and more recently his grandchildren was always his first priority and his passing now has left all of them deeply grieved and saddened. He was laid to rest in nearby Cloghans Cemetery following his Requiem Mass.
Deepest sympathy is extended to his wife Mary, sons Padraic, Ciaran, Aiden, daughter Edel, his 13 grandchildren, brother Donal, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours and friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents John and Mary Joe, his infant son Michael, his sister Evelyn and brother Michael. May he now rest in peace.
