Mayo boxer in pro action in Dublin tonight

Swinford fighter Eoghan Lavin takes on Czech Republic's Jan Balog at the National Stadium.

Eoghan Lavin is back in action for the first time this year in Dublin this Saturday night. The 22-year-old Swinford native is boxing on JB Promotions and Conlan Sports’ ‘A Night of Champions’ card at the National Stadium in what will be his fifth professional bout. He will be facing Czech fighter, Jan Balog.

Lavin is currently perfect as a professional with a record of 4-0 with one knock-out. He is promoted by Hall of Fame promoter Frank Warren and Queensberry Promotions as well as being managed by former two-time World Heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua’s 258 Management. Before turning professional, Lavin was an accomplished amateur boxer, representing Ireland consistently and winning medals domestically and on the European stage also.

“I’m really excited to get the ball rolling again this year after an active start to my professional career in 2024,” said Eoghan Lavin in advance of his Dublin bow. “This is another step on my journey to the top of the sport and all of what that brings; the titles and hopefully headlining big nights here in Ireland eventually.”
