Claremorris AFC's new ladies team made their debut in the Mayo Women's League on a historic evening for the club on Friday.
The newly returned Ballina Town were their opposition in the Division 1 encounter and the north Mayo side made it two wins from two with a 1-0 win at home.
In a great joust, where Claremorris battled all the way to find an equaliser, Kayla Salami found the bottom corner of the net for Ballina after a great pass from Zara Daly in the first half.
In the second Division 1 game, Westport United enjoyed their first win of the season, 3-1, away to Crossmolina.
Aoibheann Chambers scored the only goal of the first half on 28 minutes, with Caoimhe Cosgrove pulling Cross' level on the hour mark. Two late goals on 86 and 88 minutes from Sinead Hughes and Chambers again sealed the win.
In the Premier Division, Conn Rangers came from behind to beat reigning champions Manulla for the very first time.
Cliodhna Flynn gave Conn an early lead and she had her side a goal ahead at the break with a goal at the end of the first half after Tracey Hall equalised a quarter of an hour in.
Two Niamh Flannery goals had Manulla seemingly in control approaching the last 10 minutes, but Flynn had other ideas and her goal on 87 minutes levelled it at 3-3.
Orna Dowd was to secure full points for Conn on the stroke of full-time in a memorable win for her club.
Home side Kiltimagh Knock United were to rue giving away an early goal to Siobhan Wilson as Straide & Foxford took the points in an even contest at CMS Park.
Swinford were 3-2 winners at home against Castlebar Town in the third Premier Division game of the weekend, making it two wins from two.
