A trip to the capital awaits Mayo next January as Kevin McStay’s senior footballers have been handed an opening round clash with Dublin in the 2025 National Football League. The Division 1 game has provisionally been fixed for Saturday, January 25 but all counties have until Thursday, November 14 to review the full list of league fixtures and submit requests for change before the finalised list of fixtures will be published.
A repeat of this year’s All-Ireland SFC Final is also on the cards for the same night as Mayo v Dublin, with Galway set to host Armagh in Pearse Stadium which is in the process of having floodlights installed.
It’s the second year in-a-row that Galway have been granted home advantage in Round 1 but they were beaten by Mayo in Salthill earlier this year and in 2025, will travel to Hastings Insurance MacHale Park to play the Green and Red in Round 2.
