Mayo star Tommy Conroy has made a welcomed return to the playing field as University of Galway beat ATU Sligo last night.

Conroy started centre half-forward and kicked a point as Maurice Sheridan's side ran out 0-14 to 0-6 winners.

Balla's Conor Dunleavy played the full match at right corner-back, while Belmullet's Ryan O'Donoghue lined out at full-forward, kicking 0-2 from play.

Swinford's Jack Ferguson came off the bench in the second-half for ATU Sligo.

Meanwhile, Mayo Gaels star Ruairí Keane played right half-back for DCU as they beat SETU Carlow 1-14.

Ballaghaderreen's Cian Hanley came off the bench to kick a point as TU Dublin defeated St Mary's University College 2-11 to 2-7.

UCC hammered ATU Galway 9-21 to 3-6, however, Davitts forward Niall Treacy kicked a point for ATU Galway while Bohola Moy Davitts' Conor Reid and Eastern Gaels' Ethan Owens both started. 

Elsewhere, MTU Cork overcame ATU Donegal 3-20 to 1-14.
