As the Snugboro players came onto the MacHale Park pitch, their yellow and blue painted stripes across the faces were evident showed they meant business, and they produced a blistering display to win the Division 1B final.
After Ali Clarke got the opening point, the Snugboro girls were called into action at the other end as goalkeeper Sofia Staunton denied Annabelle Hayes what looked a near-certain major.
Maria Keane of Claremorris levelled moments later but Snugboro blitzed their opponents from here, outscoring them 4-3 to 0-1 for the remainder of the half. Quickfire goals from Isabelle Rice and Ruby McNamara left the South Mayo girls reeling. Megan Judge got the other point for Claremorris but that was met with a fourth Snugboro goal, with Ali Clarke finding the net on this occasion.

Snugboro were hungry for more in the second-half and Ali Clarke saw a bullet strike saved by Hillary Oates, but Oates could do little to prevent Ryby McNamara from scoring her second after she was put through by captain Hannah Dever.
Claremorris battled bravely and got the goal their efforts justly deserved through Hannah O’Reilly. But there was no denying that this was Snugboro’s day and they finished with a flurry thanks to three points from Hannah Dever, one from Ali Clarke and a goal and a point from Sarah McGrath.
