"Ballinrobe GAA & LGFA Club wishes to acknowledge the outstanding contribution of Peter Ford who has stepped down as manager of the club's intermediate team after a three-year period."

Ballinrobe GAA have announced the departure of manager Peter Ford.

In a social post, the club thanked Ford, saying: "Ballinrobe GAA & LGFA Club wishes to acknowledge the outstanding contribution of Peter Ford who has stepped down as manager of the club's intermediate team after a three-year period.

"Peter guided the team to the 2023 Mayo Intermediate Football Championship decider and also reached quarter-final and semi-final stages during his three-year term. In 2023 the team also won the Micheal Walsh Cup title.

"A former distinguished wearer of the club jersey, Peter assembled an excellent backroom team that included John Gilrane, Colm Jennings, Billy Burke, Davy Walsh, David McDonnell, Evan Gannon and Emma Jennings.

"All involved in the club wish Peter and his backroom colleagues every success in the future and know that they will continue to keep Ballinrobe GAA club very much in their hearts."
