One change for Mayo ahead of crunch All-Ireland clash

The management of the Mayo minor football team have opted for one change to the team they hope can guide the county to its second All-Ireland U17 final in three seasons.

Mayo will tackle Armagh in this Sunday’s semi-final having steam-rolled their way past Cork in the quarter-final last Saturday week. From the team that started that match, Harry McHale is the one addition, replacing his Castlebar Mitchels clubmate Joe Forry on the half-forward line.

Mayo are Connacht champions and Armagh beaten Ulster finalists, however, the Orchard boys were hugely impressive quarter-final winners against a Longford side that had beaten Dublin in the Leinster MFC Final.

Coincidentally, Sunday’s match will take place in Longford, at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park, throwing in at 5.30pm.

Tom Hession from the Eastern Gaels club is captain of the Mayo team and the match will be refereed by Westmeath's Alan Coyne.
