John Vahey, who was Breaffy’s first choice goalkeeper as recently as 2024, has signed for Castleknock while Anthony Jordan, who came so close to winning last season’s county intermediate championship title for Moy Davitts with the last kick of the final, is joining Stars of Erin.

There’s a blow to Bonniconlon as their free-scoring attacker Ciaran Gaughan has transferred to North London Shamrocks, the current senior champions of London. Gaughan is also currently part of London’s senior football panel.

Some players are moving in the opposite direction, however. Islandeady welcome back Seamie Lally for the 2026 season after his sojourn with St Kevin’s GAA in Australia while Ger Holian, who featured for Templeogue Synge Street at wing-back in last season’s Dublin SFC, is returning to Balla.

Davitts also see the return of former underage goalkeeper Cian Naughton from St Vincent’s GAA Club in Dublin.
