Jordan Flynn and Sean Morahan return to the Mayo starting lineup as Mayo interim manager Stephen Rochford shows his hand for their All-Ireland SFC group game against Donegal this Sunday in King & Moffatt Dr. Hyde Park Roscommon.
Diarmuid O’Connor, who went off injured in the Connacht final defeat against Galway, also makes a comeback and is named on the bench while Donnacha McHugh also returns to the matchday squad after missing the game against Tyrone two weeks ago.
There is also a milestone set for Kilmeena’s Jack Carney, who is set to make his 50th League and Championship appearance.
Mayo and Donegal have met on five occasions in the championship. Donegal won the first two meetings - the 1992 All-Ireland semi-final and the 2012 All-Ireland final - but Mayo have won the three most recent meetings, the 2013 and 2015 All-Ireland quarter-finals, and the 2019 Super 8s meeting in MacHale Park. The first four meetings were played in Croke Park.
The Green and Red have not lost a league or championship game in Hyde Park since 2001, where they lost to Roscommon in the Connacht final and Westmeath in the championship. They have had 12 wins and one draw since, including two wins over Roscommon and a draw against Dublin last year.
Paddy Durcan will captain the team on the day, and the referee on the day is Paul Faloon from Co Down.
This game is live on RTÉ Two, with throw-in at 4pm, as well as a live broadcast on Midwest Radio with commentary from Michael D McAndrew and Martin Carney. Tickets for the game can be purchased here.
