Mayo players named in minor football Team of the Year

Electric Ireland, has announced the 2024 Electric Ireland GAA Minor Star Football Team of the Year and the Electric Ireland Minor Star Football Player of the Year.
In an impressive series of big match-ups, it was an all-Ulster final where Derry took the win over Armagh to become back-to-back Electric Ireland GAA Minor Football champions.
In this year’s Electric Ireland Minor Star Football Team of the Year, the dominant Ulster province saw 9 players taking a spot on the team, with 4 players from Armagh and 5 players from Derry featuring. The traditional football stronghold of Kerry had 3 players in the team, with the final 3 players coming from Mayo - Tom Hession, Kobe McDonald and Oisín Deane.
Electric Ireland has also announced this year’s Electric Ireland Minor Star Football Player of the Year: Derry’s James Sargent. The midfielder and captain of his county was a standout player throughout this campaign, scoring a goal in the All-Ireland final as well as being awarded player of the match on the day.
