Mayo GAA club gets go-ahead for major project

A Mayo GAA club has been granted planning permission for the development of new facilities.

Mayo County Council has given Balla GAA Club the go-ahead for the proposed development that will see the club expand its existing facilities at Nally Park in the town.

The planning permission includes the construction of a new pitch and a new astro turf training area and pitch. It also includes an equipment store.

It is proposed that the club will add an extension to the eastern and southern end of the existing clubhouse. Internal works at the clubhouse include a new viewing area at first-floor level and internal modifications to the current first-floor area.

Balla GAA will also construct a new car parking area and make improvements to the entrance road.
