Mayo footballer nominated for GAA Player of the Week award

Mayo footballer Jack Carney has been nominated for the GAA Player of the Week award following an impressive display against Donegal on Sunday.
The Kilmeena man scored 1-03 in Mayo's two-point victory at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park which helped Kevin McStay's side claim a spot in next weekend's Allianz Football League Division One Final against Kerry.

Mayo finished top of the table with four wins, one draw and two defeats during the campaign.

Meanwhile, both Carney and Enda Hession were named on the GAA Football Team of the Week.
