Mayo decimate Cork to reach All-Ireland semi-final

Kobe McDonald impressed for Mayo, kicking 1-6.

There are times the final scoreline can be misleading but this certainly wasn't the case in Ennis this afternoon as Mayo cruised to a 3-14 to 0-6 victory over Cork this afternoon.

Goals at the beginning and end of the half gave Mayo a commanding 2-8 to 0-3 lead at the break, with Oisin Deane and Kobe McDonald, a penalty, putting the Green and Red in cruise control.

The Crossmolina duo were in ominous form, with them combining for 3-9 overall. That third goal arrived on 50 minutes when a loose Cork pass was caught by fellow Crossmolina man Dylan Flynn and he found McDonald, who drove on before unselfishly passing it to Deane to palm into the net.

David Hurley, Tom Hession, Mark Sheerin (two) and Dylan Flynn were also on the scoresheet as Mayo produced their most accomplished 60 minutes of the season so far. They will now meet Armagh in two weeks time in the All-Ireland semi-final.
