On a cold, wet and windy afternoon in Tooreen, the Mayo camogie side picked up their first league win of the season with a 3-13 to 1-1 victory over Louth this afternoon.

Emer Delaney was the star of the show, scoring 2-5, and she got the first of her goals just before half-time. Caoimhe Cunningham fired into the net against the run of play for Louth on 24 minutes but the Tooreen corner-forward hit a piledriver past Mairead McMahon three minutes later before repeating the trick on the stroke of half-time for Mayo to lead 2-4 to 1-1.

Colum O'Meara's young side dominated the second half, keeping Louth scoreless in the process, as they struck another 1-9, with substitute Ava Dooley raising a green flag on 40 minutes.

They will look to make it back-to-back wins when they face Wicklow next Saturday.
