It was another super Sunday in the Mayo Club Championship. Surprise results continued to fly in all over the county after the triumphs of Ardnaree and Ballycroy in the last few days.
At Senior level, Knockmore and Westport had to settle for a share of the spoils in one of today's earlier games. Peter Naughton scored five points for the home side but the teams were evenly matched come full time.
In a weekend of surprising results, Crossmolina Deel Rovers perhaps pipped the lot of them with a seven-point win against Ballina Stephenites in a hugely entertaining game which saw the ball hit the back of a net seven times.
Seamus Howard's goal for Belmullet separated them off Aghamore as they picked up a second victory of the campaign.
Paul Towey's haul of 1-10 wasn't enough for Charlestown against Ballaghaderreen, who beat their neighbours by four points at Fr O'Hara Park.
In the Intermediate Championship, Castlebar Mitchels B recovered from a poor showing in round 1 to beat Lahardane by a hatful. Calum Filan was named man of the match as Mitchels put their opponents to the sword in a 20-point victory.
Moy Davitts came from behind to record a stunning win at the Saucer against Hollymount-Carramore. Moy Davitts managed to score just four points in the first half but hit 2-14 in the second half to come away with the vital points.
Kiltane continued their perfect start with a big win against Islandeady, netting five goals on their way to victory.
Burrishoole and Cill Chomain ended all square in Newport.
In the Junior Championship, Shrule/Glencorrib and Eastern Gaels recorded home wins against Achill and Swinford.
Meanwhile, former Kiltimagh forward Ronan Malee scored 1-4 against his old club wearing the colours of Tourmakeady this afternoon as they won by five points at Gilmartin Park.
