Major development to proceed at Mayo GAA club

A south Mayo GAA club have been given the green light from Mayo County Council for the development of new facilities.

Ballinrobe GAA have been granted planning permission for the construction of several projects at its Flanagan Park grounds located on the Kilmaine Road in the town.

This includes the construction of a new all-weather GAA pitch and a new all-weather astro sports facility, including netting for both as well as perimeter fencing for the astro.

It also includes the construction of a new equipment and machinery store and a new gymnasium to the rear of the existing spectator stand, as well as an extension to the existing dressing room facility. This will allow for the provision of a new clubhouse incorporating more new dressing rooms, a new referees room and other facilities.

The car park will also be extended to allow for bus parking and accessible parking facilities.
