Mayo continued their perfect start and moved one step closer to the Nicky Rackard Cup Final with victory at home against Louth this afternoon.

They trailed by three at the break with Leon Fox hitting the back of the net to cancel out Kieran McDermott’s opening goal for Mayo and Darren Geoghegan helping the visitors to take the lead with 0-5 points in the opening half.

Half time sub Simon Thomas scored a goal with his first touch for Mayo and though Fox got a goal back through a penalty for the Wee County, Mayo dominated the closing stages to make it three wins out of three in the competition thus far.
