Omagh CBS 1-14

St Geralds College 0-9

St Geralds College have been knocked out of the All-Ireland Post Primary Schools Hogan Cup after an eight-point defeat to reigning champions Omagh CBS at Fr Tierney Park, Ballyshannon this afternoon.

Omagh never looked back after Paudi Dillon’s goal on the stroke of first half injury time and it left Geralds with a mountain to climb in the second half.

The Castlebar school put a good shift in with Dara Neary again their standout player with four points from play but the champions showed their pedigree and kept Geralds at arm’s length once they raised that green flag.

Overall, they can be proud of their efforts in a campaign that saw them pick up their eighth ever Schools Senior A Connacht title with victory over Claregalway a few weeks ago.
