Gaelic football festival to take place in Mayo town

Castlebar 9s is a nine-a-side Gaelic football festival and a festival of music and fun.
Castlebar 9s is a nine-a-side Gaelic football festival and a festival of music and fun taking place in Castlebar over the Easter Bank Holiday, Saturday and Sunday. Hosted by Castlebar Mitchels, it’s all action at An Sportlann.
32 teams, from all over Ireland, featuring men's and ladies teams, will take part bringing over 600 players to Castlebar over the weekend. On top of that, a family-friendly kids’ zone and then when the football finishes, the fun in the marquee kicks off from 3pm daily.

Along with all that, there will be the Ganley sisters, award-winning magician Dan O'Donaghue (Sun. 3pm), a kids’ zone with Jiving Juniors kids dance lessons (Sat. 1pm), face painting, pop-up Gaeltacht, fire engine display, and more, and ALL FREE!
