Four talented Mayo sportspeople among University of Galway bursary recipients

Congratulations to the twenty-two promising University of Galway students who have been awarded bursaries by Connacht GAA. Four talented Mayo footballers are among them. 

The awards are given to high-achieving students who play for the University and their clubs in Galway, Roscommon, and Mayo and who show potential in ladies’ football, camogie, men’s football, hurling, and dual sports.

The University of Galway bursary recipients for Mayo are:

- Luke Feeney, Football, Ballina Stephenites, Mayo

- Jack Keane, Football, Hollymount/Carramore, Mayo

- John MacMonagle, Football, Castlebar Mitchels, Mayo

- Ava McDonnell, LGFA, St Brigids, Mayo

The annual Connacht GAA bursary scheme has been in place for 15 years providing financial assistance to students who display potential and commitment to Gaelic games as active members of the association and their higher education club.
