The event has been revived this year and its success has been met with great enthusiasm by the U10 boys and girls.

After a long absence, the U10 town league is back and six teams will play in three finals in a bid to win the cup, shield and plate honours for their particular area.

Back in the day, the town league was akin to the All-Ireland final as young footballers fought tooth and nail for pride of place.

This Saturday evening, July 27, six teams will line out for a vibrant and colourful pre-match parade on Ballina Stephenites pitch prior to the three finals, with the first being throw-in at 5pm.

This event has been revived this year and its success has been met with great enthusiasm by the U10 boys and girls, namely from The Quay, Pats, The East, The West, The Town and Fitzgeralds - all areas of the town.

A party atmosphere will ensue with treats and goodies for all with the big presentations being made in the clubhouse bar to the proud Victors.

The coaches and volunteers are thanked for reviving this event, and keeping the passion alive in these youngsters.
