The Treanlaur Catering Junior Club Football Championship continues next weekend, Saturday and Sunday, August 17 and 18.
Group 3 gets underway on Saturday evening at 5pm when Ballycastle host Eastern Gaels. Gaels will be hoping to build on a superb performance in the recent Division 3 final.
At the same time, Ballycroy will start their Championship at home against Northern Gaels, who enjoyed a win over Shrule/Glencorrib in their opener.
At 7pm there will be a clash of two Junior Championship favourites in Group 1 when Swinford, fresh off a three-point win over perennial rivals Bonniconlon in their opening game, pay a visit to Cill Chomain, one of the games of the weekend.
At 1pm on Sunday, Bonniconlon will look to pick up their first win after their weekend defeat. They host Kilmovee, who beat Moygownagh by seven points last Sunday.
Elsewhere at 1pm, Shrule/Glencorrib will hope to dust themselves down after defeat to Northern Gaels. They face another team who were on the losing end in Round 1 of Group 2, Tourmakeady. Tourmak’ fell to defeat to Ardagh on Saturday afternoon.
Killala face Achill at 3pm as both get their Championship underway.
With five teams in both Group 1 and 2, a team from each of these groups will have the weekend off and perhaps a chance to watch the other teams in their group. Ardagh and Moygownagh are the two out of action this weekend.
