Championship round-up: A quick word on each of tonight's games

The following are the results from this evening’s opening games in the Mayo Club Championship.
It took a late equalizer from Ciaran Gavin for Ballintubber to take a share of the points against Aghamore.
A brave effort from Kilmeena in their first ever Senior Championship game but a Tommy O’Reilly goal at the start of the second half kept them at arm’s length for the remainder.
As expected, Ballina began their Moclair Cup defence with a win against Mayo Gaels in ruthlessly efficient style.
Westport were made to work extremely hard for this win against a much-improved Balla side, who will fancy their chances at avoiding relegation this year.
A brilliant result for Charlestown to open their Championship campaign against a wasteful Castlebar Mitchels team.
Conceding two goals in the opening five minutes ensured this was always an uphill struggle for Ballyhaunis, who were not as bad as the scoreline suggests.
James Maheady and Fionnan Duffy were in fine scoring form for Crossmolina as they got off to a winning start against neighbours Lahardane.
It was one of the tougher games to call and it ended in a draw between two of Intermediate’s heavy-hitters.
Liam Maloney was outstanding in defence and attack and Justin Healy scored three points as Cill Chomain breezed past Swinford in a low-scoring game.
A second win of the campaign for Northern Gaels. Niall McDonnell and John McLoughlin both hit the back of the net to make sure of the two-point win.
David Smith, Evan Godfrey and Jack Madden all hit the back of the net for Eastern Gaels in a massive win against Ballycastle.
