All-Ireland Final countdown: Mayo’s standby players revealed for Sunday

The four players ready to step into the breach should there be a late withdrawal from the Mayo senior football panel for Sunday’s All-Ireland SFC Final have been revealed – and they contain a mixture of youth and experience.
Seamus Howard of Belmullet and John MacMonagle of Castlebar Mitchels have yet to make their senior championship debuts for Mayo but are included in Andy Moran’s standby list along with Fergal Boland of Aghamore and Ardagh’s James Carr, both of whom were involved in Mayo’s runs to the 2020 and ’21 All-Ireland Finals.
Jack O’Connor has also selected his four standbys, namely Sean Broderick, Eddie Healy, Cillian Trant and Charlie Keating.
