Registration has opened for the TELUS International Liquid Motion Salmon Run Triathlon which will take place on Saturday, July 27. This is the third consecutive year that TELUS International will sponsor the event in partnership with Liquid Motion. This year, they will also welcome a new partner, Mayo Mental Health.
“It is an honour to be sponsoring this fantastic community event for the third consecutive year. The annual Salmon Run is something we now look forward to each summer here in TELUS International. We are thrilled that Mayo Mental Health is also coming onboard this year,” said Enda Cunnane, vice president of operations at TELUS International AI Data Solutions.
Mark Reynolds is chairman of the organisers, Liquid Motion Triathlon Club, and remarked that the Salmon Run Triathlon is the club’s flagship event and that 2024 “is shaping up to be another great year”.
Attending last week’s official launch of the event, Mayo footballer Pádraig O'Hora, who is Mayo Mental Health Association’s community liaison officer, said: “I always say that if you’re not feeling yourself, talk to someone. Anyone. Twist off the lid and release. The Salmon Run is the perfect opportunity for someone to take the first step to utilise swimming as that release. The sprint triathlon is a perfect race for beginners and non-beginners due to its scenic flat course.”
No prior experience is necessary and anyone interested in participating may register by visiting https://www.triathlonireland.com/.
