What's on: Mount Falcon tent to return this summer
Summer is here, and the Mount Falcon tent is officially back from the 1st of June.
Summer is here, and the Mount Falcon tent is officially back from the 1st of June.
Dining and music under the stars in the heated bamboo tent runs from the beginning of June through the end of August as Mount Falcon offers its newest menu, cocktail bar, and live music and dancing at least every Saturday night for our fourth consecutive summer.
If necessity is the mother of invention, then the summer tent was the happy consequence of a time when gathering together in public was harder than it is today. What started as a way to allow guests and the greater community a way to safely enjoy the summer and the grounds at Mount Falcon has now turned into a seasonal event. And this year our new innovative menu currently available to patrons inside our Kitchen Restaurant will soon be available outdoors under the tent.
The á la cart menu features in-house dry aged beef selected specially by Chef Tom Doyle. The progressively protein focused menu is served daily for lunch and dinner, and includes fresh seafood and a range of pork, poultry, vegetarian dishes, and an extensive range of sides.
Another first this year, not only will guests be able to take advantage of the full cocktail bar in the tent, but they will also still have access to our cozy Boathole Bar inside the hotel which remains open all summer long.
“I can’t go into town without someone asking me when the tent is coming back,” says Alan Maloney, Founding Partner of Mount Falcon.
Those who come for the food and stay for the show will be well rewarded as the tent and lawn will come alive every Saturday night to the sounds of live award-winning musical acts.
Scheduled to return this year are performers familiar to fans of our summer lineup, including the master of soul Buck Taylor, the melodious crooner Greg Pearle, the fabulous Keith and Lorraine McDonald, and their legendary father Frankie McDonald.
“It’s a lot of work for the entire team to setup and then dismantle every summer, but the craic we and all our patrons have enjoyed over the last four summers make is worth every effort and expense,” Maloney says, adding, “We look forward to welcoming everybody.”
