Update provided on new Mayo McDonald's restaurant

A new McDonald's is being planned for Mayo.
The American fast food giant has submitted a planning application for permission to construct a single-storey drive-thru restaurant in Claremorris.
The building would be based at the lands adjoining Silverbridge Plaza and Shopping Centre, Knock Road, Claremorris, Co. Mayo.
Mayo County Council received the application on Friday, October 10, and a recent update has been provided.
The planning application is currently 'on hold', and further information has been requested.
This would be the second McDonald's in Mayo, with the Castlebar restaurant operating since 1998.
