Turlough 8km Fun Run and Walk is launched

The Turlough 8km Fun Run and Walk is back up and running for its 14th consecutive year. The run is registered with Athletics Ireland and will for the first time in its history be chip timed and results will be available on myrunresults.ie.

The event will take place at Turlough House at 12 noon on Sunday, February 15th, and is open to all ages. The walk element, alongside the virtual element, are also options available to participants, which have proven to be a great success over the past number of years.

The event is organised by Mayo Mental Health Association (MHA), Parke-Keelogues-Crimlin GAA Club, the National Museum of Ireland – Country Life and Mayo Athletic Club. The organising committee consists of Frank Cloherty, Patrick and Niall Dunne, with input from staff members of Mayo MHA, Yvonne Kilcullen Events, Turlough Museum and Mayo AC.

For those taking part, make sure to tag any photos/videos over the weekend using the hashtag #moveformayo.

Monies raised will go to supporting Parke-Keelogues-Crimlin GAA club, alongside funding different community projects and mental health initiatives across Mayo that is driven by Mayo Mental Health Association. Registration is through the Event Master platform at www.eventmaster.ie. For those who may not be able to register online, registration will also be available on the morning of the event.
