Tributes paid to 'much loved' Sister Rita following her passing

Tributes have been paid to Castlebar and Ballina woman Sister Rita Conway following her passing on May 25, 2024.
Sr. Rita, a former teacher at St. Mary's Secondary School, Ballina, will be deeply missed by her family and wider circle.
St. Mary's Secondary School said: "Our school community was sad to hear of the passing of Sr Rita Conway, a much loved past member of the teaching staff.
"Sr Rita was a dedicated teacher for over 30 years of Home Economics, and Religion and was also Home School Liaison Officer.
"We extend our sympathy to the Sisters of Mercy and to her family. We assure them of our thoughts and prayers. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a hanam."
Sr. Rita Conway's Funeral Mass will take place in St. Patrick’s Church, Ballina on Tuesday (May 28) at 12 noon.
