- Killala will receive €49,875 to redevelop the Tower Bar site into a multi-faceted community hub. This funding will support the planning and development phase, preparing the project for construction.

- Tuar Mhic Éadaigh (Tourmakeady) is set to receive €50,000 to explore the repurposing of the former Coláiste Connacht into a Smart Village and Cultural Innovation Hub. The project will include training resource rooms, digital hot-desk capabilities, and office spaces. The funding will enable the procurement of a multi-disciplinary design team to develop a comprehensive business case and create a project ready for construction.

- Charlestown will benefit from €47,500 to redevelop a building acquired through the Building Acquisition Measure for community use. The grant will cover feasibility studies, design drawings, planning, fire and Disability Access Certificate (DAC) certification, and all necessary compliance

Dillon said: "This is about delivering on the objectives of our rural future and ensuring our towns have the right plans in place to tackle the issues of dereliction and vacant properties, and, above all, to become better places to live, work, and run a business. I want to thank my colleagues, Minister Heather Humphreys for her support throughout Mayo and the local councillors who lobby daily for their towns and villages."
