Storm Bram: How long is the Mayo weather warning valid for?

A Status Orange Wind weather warning is currently in effect for Mayo.
Storm Bram will bring very strong to gale force southerly winds with severe gusts.
Impacts include flooding of low-lying coastal areas - especially during high tide, wave overtopping, difficult travel conditions, debris, loose objects being displaced, outdoor events being impacted and power outages.
The orange weather warning is valid until 7pm this evening (Tuesday, November 9).
A Status Yellow Wind warning is also in effect until 9pm.
Chief Executive of Mayo County Council, Kevin Kelly, said: “Mayo County Council are urging the public to exercise extreme caution during the period the Orange Wind Warning is in effect.
“The Council will continuously monitor the outcomes of Storm Bram and will have response teams on standby to respond to incidents if they arise."
