Could there be snow on the way? 

Met Éireann has stated that, nationally, this Friday (January 2) will be a day of sunny spells and showers with some falls of sleet and snow possible. 

Highest temperatures of 2 to 6 degrees generally in light to moderate northwesterly winds, fresh near exposed coasts.

In the West, tomorrow (Wednesday, December 31) will be a dry day with a mix of cloud and sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees with light variable breezes at first, gradually becoming westerly.
