Shots reportedly fired during attempted burglary in Mayo village - Gardaí investigating

Gardaí attended the scene of an incident in Aghamore outside Ballyhaunis yesterday during which gun shots were reportedly fired during an attempted burglary.
It is understood that a man fired gun shots at a van that was involved in an attempted burglary at a property in the area.
A Garda spokesperson said they are investigating the incident.
“Gardaí are investigating a burglary at a premises in Ballyhaunis, County Mayo yesterday afternoon, Thursday, July 11.” “It is understood a firearm was discharged during the course of the incident. No injuries have been reported at this time. Investigations are ongoing.”
