In the meantime, Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow Rain warning for Carlow, Kilkenny, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, and Waterford.
A Status Yellow Wind warning has also been issued for Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Dublin, Louth, Wexford, and Wicklow.

Possible impacts include localised flooding, river flooding, fallen trees and loose debris, and difficult travel conditions.
The weather warning will be valid for these counties from midnight (rain warning)/5am (wind warning) until 11pm on Tuesday.
