New Man United interim boss has strong Mayo ties
Manchester United announced this morning that former player Darren Fletcher is to take over as interim manager following the departure of Head Coach Ruben Amorim.
Fletcher became a club legend during his playing days collecting 5 Premier League medals and the former Scotland international has family ties to county Mayo.

His mother is Bridie Fletcher (née Gielty), a native of Dooagh on Achill Island and his family are regular visitors to Mayo. Darren attended the 2013 All-Ireland Final between Mayo and Dublin to support the Green & Red.
His twin sons Jack and Tyler both followed in their father’s footsteps and signed professional contracts with Man United with Jack making his first-team debut in recent weeks.
