An Achill Island business has closed its doors.
On social media, it was stated: "Heartfelt tears have flowed as we say goodbye to Sarah and Achill Island Kitchen, who brought such life and warmth back into Dooagh Village.
"From the delicious coffee and homemade cakes, to the quick nip in for milk and bread, it was so much more than a shop or café, it was a meeting place for neighbours, a social outlet for those who might not have many interactions, and a welcoming space for everyone.
"Sarah’s unwavering support for local producers and community events made a real difference, and her kindness and hard work never went unnoticed.
"You will be truly missed, but we hope you enjoy the well-earned break away and whatever new adventures lie ahead."
