Mayo weather warning - Met Éireann: Potential disruptions possible
The weather warning will be valid until 2am on Thursday, August 22.
A Status Yellow Wind and Rain Warning will be in place for Mayo and Galway from 6.30pm this evening - Wednesday, August 21.
Met Éireann say there will be unseasonably strong and gusty south to southwest winds, coinciding with very high tides and heavy rain.
Potential impacts in coastal areas and on higher ground include coastal flooding, wave over-topping, damage to temporary structures and difficult travelling conditions.
The weather warning will be valid until 2.30am on Thursday, August 22.
