It was a record-setting day at St Muredach's College, Ballina last Friday when five students achieved an extraordinary 625 points.
Principal Wayne Walsh said this was a terrific achievement for the school and for the five students, Padraic Gavin, Niall Murphy, Luke Feeney, Eoghan Durkan and Ultan Tuffy.
“It is the best we ever had,” said Mr Walsh. “All of our students seem to be getting the points they need. We are incredibly proud, there was so much hard work put in and we also want to thank all the parents for their support in the last few months.”
Mr Walsh said there were good results right across the board at St Muredach's College and wished the students luck with whatever comes next.
“The first thing was to be well physically and mentally for these exams. Second was to do as well as they could and third, they have smashed it. They are in as good a position as possible to go on to Third Level or whatever path they choose to take,” added Mr Walsh.
