Sonnagh, Charlestown, Co. Mayo.

A property once owned by the Gallagher's maternal grandmother in Mayo has been sold.

The property, located in Sonnagh, Charlestown, is a recently renovated and charming two-bedroom cottage, with a master bedroom ensuite, a double bedroom and a family shower room.

On the property listing, it stated that the "Gallagher brothers spent many happy childhood summers in this house, enjoying the freedom of the countryside setting and soaking up the musical traditions of the Charlestown locality.

"It is said that the brothers honed their unique musical style from an early age, and no doubt the traditional music sessions experienced in the area would have influenced the two brothers in their later careers."

The home, which was originally listed for €350,000, is also only 10km from Ireland West Airport Knock.

Noel and Liam played in front of sold-out crowds in Croke Park last August during their reunion tour.
