Man hospitalised following assault in Mayo town
Investigations into the incident are continuing and Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
A man in his 20s was hospitalised following an assault in the early hours of Sunday.
The injured party received serious but not life-threatening injuries following an assault in Claremorris. The incident occurred at around 2.30am on Dalton Street in the South Mayo town.
Dalton Street was closed for much of yesterday (Morning) after the scene was preserved for technical examination but re-opened in the afternoon.
Investigations into the incident are continuing and Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
