Man arrested and charged following criminal damage in Mayo

Following on from incidents of criminal damage (graffiti) which occurred in Westport town on the nights of 24th/25th of June 2025, a man has now been arrested and charged in connection with these incidents, and is due to appear at Castlebar District Court later this month.
Superintendent Deridre Gill has acknowledged the work of the Gardai involved, and has thanked the local community for their cooperation and assistance in the investigation.
As the matter is now before the Courts, An Garda Síochána will not be commenting further on the matter.
