Gardaí have arrested a man in connection with their investigation into a serious assault at Barrack Street, Ballaghadereen, on 1st January 2026.
The man, aged in his 40s, is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a station in the Garda North Western Region.
Investigations are ongoing.
